About
Like a lot of other biologists, I have been interested in animals since I was very young. I was a big fan of Steve Irwin as a kid and wanted to be a vet when I grew up.

As an undergraduate, I worked as a field and lab tech in the University of Illinois' Cowbird Lab. As a field tech in the Cache River, I solidified my interest in being a researcher.

I have always been fascinated by the behavior of animals, and as I became more familiar with ornithology and ecology as a whole also became interested in the neural mechanisms behind behavior.

I am now a neuroethology MSc. student in Dr. Christopher Sturdy's Songbird Neuroethology Lab. I am currently researching rescue behavior in Black-Capped Chickadees.
